The core technology that drives the magic of a traditional Amazonian Ayahuasca ceremony is the incredible healing songs, called Icaros. These vibrational melodies are downloaded from the jungle plants themselves, often in the context of ceremony or a Master Plant Dieta. Some of these songs are thousands of years old, and have been sung millions of times; each time they are worked with, the strength magnifies. If you’ve ever been in an Ayahuasca ceremony and felt the songs transforming your body and spirit, you know how sacred and potent they are!

Shaman Don Moises Llerena is our mentor and guide for this 4 week virtual adventure; he is an authentic Amazonian jungle Maestro with decades of experience with Ayahuasca and other sacred Plant Medicines. Moises was born in Flor de Punga near Iquitos, in the Peruvian Amazon. His parents used their knowledge from this magical place, the biggest organic pharmacy in the rainforest, to teach him the ancient ways of being a Curandero (healer). His mother’s side followed the shamanic tradition and his grandfather, uncle, and cousin are Shamans in the Cocama lineage. Don Moises is a lighthouse, speaks fluent English, and is overjoyed to share 4 of his favorite Icaros with all attendees.

Our course launches Wednesday, April 9th at 1 pm PT/ 4 pm ET via Zoom, and will take place each Saturday for 4 total weeks. Classes are 75 minutes in duration, and will each feature one Icaro; either in Shipibo, Quechua, and/or Spanish. Don Moises and Kat will first share the story / history of each Icaro, the song’s meaning, and then they will sing each song, breaking down the melody, pronunciation, and translation line by line. Participants will also receive written lyrics and translations, as well as a separate recording of the song, and the classes are recorded so they can be referenced and enjoyed anytime. If you can’t make the classes live, you are still welcomed to attend, as everything is recorded and shared the day it occurs.

By the end of the course, each attendee will have 4 sacred Ayahuasca Icaros / Medicine Songs in their shamanic toolkits.
